Each tanzaku is hand-painted and is a unique piece. Designed for use with KOKOROART studio kakejiku, these standard-sized (24 × 9 cm) works are carefully crafted.

In Japan, gourds (hyōtan) are considered a symbol of protection against illness and misfortune, as well as a good luck charm. They have long been used as talismans and heraldic motifs.
Due to their shape and abundant clustered growth, they also symbolize family prosperity and flourishing offspring.
They are traditionally displayed during the months of July, August, and September.
