Sumi-e: Chinese ink and gansai painting

An original horizontal artwork, painted with Chinese ink, signed and accompanied by the artist's seal. Presented in a black wooden frame with glass and a black mat, in a minimalist and contemporary style.
Artwork delivered ready to hang.

It was William Gowland, a British mining engineer and mountaineer, who named this mountain range in central Japan in 1881. He was impressed by the beauty of this region and exclaimed: "These mountains are worthy of being called the Japanese Alps."
Rising over 3000 meters, these mountains are still covered in snow and are immaculately white. At the foot of the mountains, the snow begins to melt, revealing a cedar forest in the morning mist, thus foreshadowing the arrival of spring.
The cedar forest (Cryptomeria japonica) is my favorite of all the forests in Japan. I was inspired by these beautiful straight and tall cedar forests.
